Kirigami Rings

A fascinating Japanese paper experiment. Show two paper chessboards to the audience, instructing them to follow your exact steps: Fold each chessboard diagonally twice and cut out the shapes according to the provided guide. The spectator will do the same. When they unfold their cutout, they hold two flat square frames overlapping each other. Upon unfolding yours, these frames are magically linked into a chain!
