A second card case (that has been on display and untouched the whole time) is then opened by a spectator and found to contain just one card - it is a duplicate of the very same card just randomly dealt to.

The chosen number is genuinely random and the spectator can deal the cards and open the second card case themselves. The effect is sleight free and self-working
