V Říši elfů, kterou jsme představili s naším prvním balíčkem, žijí i jiné rasy a mezi lidmi jsou i lidé, kteří se plaví po jejím nádherném moři. Ale pozor, protože někteří z nich jsou nebezpečná individua... a řeč je samozřejmě o pirátech!

Nejen to, všichni víme, že moře je divadlem tajemných sil a neznámých tvorů.

Lidé, kteří žijí v blízkosti moře, se po něm plaví už po staletí, a tak jsme se pokusili shromáždit všechny historky, které se vyprávěly ve starých krčmách nebo hlásily majordomům, a tak jsme se dozvěděli o pirátech a tajemných mořských bytostech.

Koneckonců, protože život na moři je velmi nebezpečný a je snadné potkat svůj osud, hranice mezi životem a smrtí je velmi tenká. Proto jsou všechny naše postavy vyobrazeny živé i mrtvé, moře neodpouští a není tak vzácné, že se během jediného dne můžete potulovat říší posmrtného života. To je také význam latinské fráze Carpe Diem (chop se dne), která se objevuje na zadní straně naší krabičky na tucty.

Piráty v našem balíčku představují piky a kříže, zatímco srdce a kára jsou naši námořníci.

Píky - Piráti

Tenshidští piráti se potulují v jihovýchodní části panství, těsně pod krásnými lesy, kde žije většina elfské rasy. Říká se o nich, že měli výměnné pobyty i s půvabnou rasou elfů, a tak se zdá, že zdědili něco z jejich krásy, ale pověsti o tom jsou mlhavé a nikdo to nikdy nemohl dokázat. Piráti prý mají svá doupata na menších ostrovech hluboko na jihu světa a mají nádhernou galeonu, stejně krásnou jako ty, které vlastní Válečné loďstvo, možná poklad z divokého boje s nimi. Důležité je však poznamenat, že jsou to ušlechtilí piráti, kradou jen z nejbohatších lodí a nikdy nevyprovokují boj bezdůvodně, zvolili si nebezpečný život, ale řídí se pevnými morálními zásadami. Úžasní vůdci, krásného vzhledu, ale s ostrými meči a nabitými zbraněmi!

Představujeme vám kapitána Jamese, našeho Jacka, Iry, exotickou královnu pirátů, a Nicholase, nelítostného velitele krále.

Srdce - Námořníci

Válečné námořnictvo je místem, kde se nacházejí ti nejdůležitější námořníci, pro každého muže je ctí být na nejvybranější a nejelegantnější lodi na moři. A jak vidíš na naší mapě, jejich krásná loď pluje na západním pobřeží Ihivale, kde podle pověstí žije Kraken. Skvělí námořníci této lodi prošli nejtěžšími zkouškami, byli na nejvzdálenějších místech a jsou snadno rozpoznatelní díky svému úžasnému oblečení, nejlepšímu v námořnictvu. Hlídkují na severním a západním pobřeží říše a brání pirátským lodím, aby se přiblížily k Údolí. Neuvěřitelní námořníci, bojovníci od přírody a ohromní cestovatelé.

Představujeme vám sira Drakea, našeho poručíka Jacka, lady Celestu, velitelku královny, a sira Jamese, impozantního královského kapitána.

Kluby - Piráti

Duiburnští piráti jsou nejnebezpečnější lidé, které můžete při plavbě po moři potkat, jsou nemilosrdní a málokdo může říct, že setkání s nimi přežil, protože obvykle neberou zajatce. Potulují se u severních břehů, kde vládnou elfové, a jsou zapřisáhlými nepřáteli Údolního loďstva, protože chtějí ovládnout panství severního moře. Často jsou k vidění v oblasti nad Tenschidenem, kde, jak chce legenda, žije velkolepý mořský drak a kde je prý ukryta jejich zátoka s pokladem. Někteří se vydali poklad hledat, ale našli jen smrt... Pozor! Žijí izolovaně od světa, jsou to neuvěřitelní mistři meče a své poklady chrání vlastním životem. Rádi bojují, pijí a potápějí lodě, jsou nemilosrdní. Lidského života si příliš neváží a hlídají si jen své plavidlo a svůj grog.

Představíme vám Johna, našeho bláznivého Jacka, lady Morganu, divokou královnu, a Edwarda, šíleného královského kapitána.

Diamanty - Námořníci

Z nejhlubších meandrů přístavu města pochází Zrienardské námořnictvo, které představují naše karty Diamantů. Je to námořnictvo, které je méně prestižní než námořnictvo Údolí a přitahuje nejrůznější postavy, ze všech tříd a ras. Ve skutečnosti se jako velké překvapení objevuje námořník, kterého jsme již dříve viděli. Ve snaze vykoupit se ze života plného zrady a podvodů zde najdeme půlelfího hejska z našeho předchozího balíčku, který nyní pracuje na lodi. Naše královna pochází ze stejně pochybné minulosti, neboť pracovala v každé krčmě ve městě, snažila se přežít, jak se dalo, a nabízela svou společnost pocestným a každému, kdo ji potkal. Nyní si našla způsob, jak cestovat po světě, a přihlásila se na místo asistentky kapitána, aby měla stabilnější budoucnost. Náš kapitán je starší muž, byl lovcem velryb a celý život se plavil po našem moři, opravdový odborník a vášnivý mořeplavec, který prošel mnoha bouřemi a boji na moři. Legenda praví, že při boji s mořskou příšerou přišel o ruku a že měl velké štěstí, že útok přežil. Někteří říkají, že to byl kraken, jiní, že to byla obří chobotnice, která se skrývá v hlubinách, a když se ho zeptáte, naznačí vám místo toho mořského draka. To se asi nikdy nedozvíme!

S radostí vám představujeme Haemira, našeho vykoupeného půlelfa námořníka Jacka, Mary-Ann, všestrannou královnu, a sira Eduarda, moudrého krále.

Asi - Mořské příšery

Nebyl by to pravý pirátský příběh bez tajemných mořských příšer, že? Protože se v moři elfského světa volně potulují neuvěřitelné příšery, rozhodli jsme se, že je budou ideálně reprezentovat esa našeho balíčku.

Pikovým esem je jistě nejnebezpečnější z nich, Kraken. Silný jako obr, dokáže snadno zaútočit na loď zespodu a převrátit ji, aby se mohl dravě živit. Je to divoká bestie, která terorizuje mnoho lodí, žije prý v severním moři, jak si můžete všimnout na naší mapě, a občas ji vidí i Válečné námořnictvo, které se plaví v této oblasti.

Další mořskou příšerou, která se skrývá na dohled, je Obří chobotnice, eso holí. Zdržuje se v jižních oblastech moře a lesní elfové hlásí, že se objevuje v jižních částech Teschidského lesa, poblíž pobřeží malých ostrovů. Je to opravdový dravec, pokud loď narazí na špatný břeh, může to být to poslední, co uvidí, protože chobotnice se vynoří z jeskyně, zaútočí a stáhne celou loď pod vodu, rozbije ji do posledního kousku a možná nezanechá žádného svědka naživu.

Srdcové eso je naše další příšera, velkolepý mořský drak. Se svítícími šupinami a nezdolnou rychlostí je rychlý jako delfín a přitom obrovský. Díky svému štíhlému tělu dokáže rychle uniknout jakémukoli nebezpečí a s dokonalou přesností projít úzkými průchody. Obvykle nemá zájem bojovat s lidmi, ale několikrát ho napadli lidé, kteří chtěli získat jeho zlatou kůži, a stačí říct, že je všechny potkal strašlivý osud. Žije mezi panstvím Duiburn a Tenshinden, skrývá se v jakési podzemní jeskyni, někdy je vidět, jak se pohybuje v okolí svými neuvěřitelně jemnými pohyby, vynořuje se na mořské hladině, opravdová krása k pohledání.

A konečně, povstává ze samotné smrti, máme tu velmi nebezpečnou nestvůru Kostlivého hada. Eso holí je nejděsivějším monstrem, které se potuluje po Elfském moři, a je utrpením pro mořeplavce blížící se k městu Zrienard. Svými ostrými kostmi dokáže zespodu zničit loď a v mžiku ji potopit, což je opravdové nebezpečí a docela smrtící. Nikdo neví, co se svými oběťmi dělá, ale určitě doufáme, že se s ním nikdy nesetkáte. Městské námořnictvo s ním tvrdě bojuje a při obraně přístavu a pobřeží odvedlo skvělou práci. Není známo, kde přesně žije, ale můžeme si jen představovat, že stejně tak terorizuje i jiné ryby v mořských hlubinách.

Žolíci

Našimi žolíky jsou podivuhodná mořská stvoření, úžasná Siréna a její společník, všemocný Triton. Vypráví se o nich mnoho příběhů, ale všeobecně panuje přesvědčení, že pokud se setkáte se Sirénou, neuniknete jejímu podivuhodnému zpěvu. Podlehnete a budete vedeni tam, kam ona chce, nejspíše proti obrovské skále. Je to příběh plný krásy a tajemství, který obklopuje mýtickou Sirénu od úsvitu věků. Triton je mnohem vzácnější, námořníci se ho bojí, protože by se mohl snadno utkat s plachetnicí a se svým nebezpečným trojzubcem by mohl být docela nebezpečný. Triton je také schopen ovládat vlny a proudy, má v rukou moc. Mohl by se pak rozhodnout vyvolat bouři, a to by byla katastrofa pro každého, kdo by se tam náhodou nacházel. Naštěstí je to už mnoho let, co byl naposledy spatřen, a je známo, že útočí nebo se ukazuje jen zřídka, ledaže by lidé byli natolik bláhoví, že by ho hledali nebo se ho snažili chytit.

In the Realm of the Elves that we introduced with our first deck, there are other races and among the humans, there are people sailing across its wonderful sea. But beware, because some of them are dangerous individuals... and we are of course talking about pirates!

Not only that, we all know that the sea is a theatre of mysterious forces and unknown creatures.

The humans that live near the sea, have sailed across it for centuries now, and so we tried to collect all the histories that have been told in the old taverns or reported to the majors, and that's how we discovered about the pirates and the mystical creatures of the sea.

Finally, because life on the sea is very dangerous and it's easy to meet your fate, the line between life and death is very thin. That's why all of our characters are portrayed alive and dead, the sea doesn't forgive and it's not so rare that in just one day you could be roaming the realms of the afterlife. That's also the meaning of the Latin phrase Carpe Diem (seize the day) that appears on the backside of our tuck box.

The Pirates in our deck are represented by the Spades and the Clubs, while the Hearts and Diamonds are our sailors.

Spades - Pirates

Tenshidean pirates are roaming in the southeast part of the reign, just below the lovely forests where most of the elven race lives. They are rumored to have had exchanges even with the lovely race of elves and thus it seems they inherited some of their beauty, but the tales about this are vague and nobody could ever prove it. The pirates are said to have their den in the smaller islands in the deep south of the world, and they have a wonderful galleon, as beautiful as the ones possessed by The Vale Navy, perhaps a treasure from a ferocious fight with them. However, it is important to note that they are noble pirates, only stealing from the richest ships and never provoking a fight for no reason, they have chosen a dangerous life but are driven by solid moral principles. Amazing leaders, beautiful look, but with sharp swords and loaded guns!

We introduce you to Captain James our Jack, Iry the exotic pirate Queen, and Nicholas the fierce King commander.

Hearts - Sailors

The Vale Navy is where the most important sailors are to be found, it's an honor for any man to be on the most refined and elegant ship of the sea. And as you can see on our map, their beautiful ship sails on the west coast of Ihivale where the Kraken is rumored to live. The great sailors of this ship have passed the hardest tests, have been on the most remote destinations and are easily recognizable for their amazing outfits, the best in the Navy. They patrol the Northern and West coasts of the realm preventing the pirates' ship from coming any close to the Vale. Incredible sailors, fighters by nature, and formidable travelers.

We introduce you to Sir Drake our lieutenant Jack, Lady Celeste the commandress Queen, and Sir James the formidable King captain.

Clubs - Pirates

The Duiburn Pirates are the most dangerous people you can meet when sailing across the sea, they are ruthless and not many can say they survived an encounter with them as they normally take no prisoners. They roam the northern shores of the Elves' reign and are sworn enemies of The Vale Navy, as they want to take over the domain of the northern sea. They are often seen in the area above Tenschiden where, as the legend wants, the magnificent sea dragon lives and where it is said that their treasure cove is hidden. Some went in search of the treasure but only found death... beware! They live isolated from the world, are incredible sword master's and protect their treasures with their lives. They love to fight, drink and sink ships, they are ruthless. They have little respect for human life and guard only their own vessel and their grog.

We introduce you to John our crazy Jack, Lady Morgana the fierce Queen, and Edward the mad King captain.

Diamonds - Sailors

Hailing from the deepest meanders of the harbor of the city we have The Zrienard Navy, represented by our Diamonds cards. It is a navy that is less prestigious than the Navy of the Vale and attracts all sorts of characters, from every class and race. In fact, as a great surprise, we have a mariner that we have seen before. Trying to redeem himself from a life of treachery and deception we find the half-elf jack from our previous deck, who is now working on the ship. Our Queen comes from an equally dubious past as she has been working in every tavern of the city, trying to survive as she could, offering her company to the travelers and anyone who'd meet her. She has now found a way to travel the world and has enrolled to be the assistant to the captain for a more stable future. Our captain is an older man, he has been a whale hunter and has sailed across our sea for a lifetime, a true expert and passionate mariner, who has been through many storms and fights at sea. Legend has it that he lost his hand while fighting with a sea monster and that he was very lucky to survive the attack. Some say it was a kraken some say it was the giant octopus that hides in the depths, and if you ask him, he will hint at the sea dragon instead. I guess we will never know!

We are pleased to introduce you Haemir our redeemed half-elf mariner Jack, Mary-Ann the versatile Queen, and Sir Eduard the wise King.

Aces - Sea Monsters

It wouldn't be a real pirate tale without the mysterious sea monsters, would it? Since we have some incredible monsters roaming free in the sea of the Elven world, we have decided that they would be ideally represented by the Aces of our deck.

The Ace of Spades is certainly the most dangerous of them all, The Kraken. Strong as a giant, it can easily attack a ship from below and turn it over, to predate and feed. A fierce beast that terrorized many ships, it is said to be living in the northern sea, as you may notice on our map, and it is sometimes seen by The Vale Navy that sails in the region.

The Ace of Clubs is the next sea monster that hides in plain sight, the Giant Octopus. He stays in the southern areas of the sea and the forest elves have reported him appearing in the southern parts of the Teschidean forest, near the coast of the small islands. A true predator, if a ship comes across the wrong shore, it may be the last thing they see, as the Octopus would emerge from a cave, attack and drag the whole ship underwater, breaking every last piece of it and possibly leaving no witness alive.

The Ace of Hearts is our next monster, the magnificent Sea Dragon. With shining scales and indomitable speed, he is as fast as a dolphin yet enormous in size. With his slim body, he can quickly escape any danger and go through narrow passages with impeccable precision. He normally is not interested in fighting with humans, but he was attacked on a few occasions by people who wanted to get his golden skin and sufficient to say, they all met a horrible fate by doing so. He lives between the reign of Duiburn and Tenshinden, hiding in some underground cavern, he is sometimes seen moving around in the area with his incredible gentle movements, emerging on the sea surface, a true beauty to see.

And finally, rising from death itself, we have the very dangerous Skeletal Snake monster. The Ace of Clubs is the scariest monster to roam the Elven Sea, and he has been a torment for the seafarers approaching the city of Zrienard. With his sharp bones he can destroy a ship from below, sinking it in no time, a true danger and quite lethal. Nobody knows what he does with his victims, but we surely hope you'll never encounter him. He has been fought hard by the city navy, and they did an excellent job defending the harbor and the coast. It is not known where he lives exactly, but we can only imagine he is equally terrorizing other fish in the depths of the sea.

Jokers

Our Jokers are marvelous creatures of the sea, the amazing Siren and her companion, the omnipotent Triton. Many tales have been told about them, but the common belief is that if you encounter the Siren, you won't escape her marvelous chants. You will succumb and be guided wherever she wants you to go most probably against a giant rock. It's a tale of beauty and mystery that surrounds the mythical Siren since the dawn of times. The Triton is much rarer, sailors fear him as he could easily fight with a sailing ship, and with its dangerous trident, it could be quite dangerous. The Triton is also capable of controlling the waves and currents, with the power within his hands. It could then decide to generate a storm, and it would be a disaster for whoever happens to be there. Luckily, it's been many years since it has been seen last and it's known that it rarely attacks or shows itself, unless people would be fool enough to look for him or to try to capture him.
