INSANEwave je evolucí efektu BrainWave od Dee Christophera. Klasickým efektem je, že pojmenovaná karta je jedinou kartou v balíčku s odlišným barevným nebo kontrastním designem zadní strany.

Chtěl jsem efekt posunout dále, miloval jsem představu rozprostření balíčku a více karet s různými ruby, začal jsem pracovat na vytvoření řešení s několika myšlenkami na mysli.

• Chtěl jsem, aby tento balíček byl normální, aby ho zvládl divák nebo s ním mohl dělat jiné ESP nebo karetní efekty.
• Chtěl jsem, aby metoda fungovala s hracími kartami, kartami ESP nebo jakýmkoli jiným typem fotografie nebo karty.
• Nechtěl jsem používat hrubé a hladké, chtěl jsem nastavení, které bude snadné a RYCHLE.
• Chtěl jsem, aby to fungovalo POKAŽDÉ.

Toto je efekt a řešení, na které jsem přišel. Základní efekt je následující:

Divákovi je podán balíček karet ESP a zobrazeno 5 sad po 5 symbolech. Jsou požádáni, aby zamíchali a pojmenovali pouze jeden symbol. Řekněme, že pojmenovali kruh.

Umělec pak rozloží balíček po stole nebo v rukou lícem dolů. 5 karet má červené ruby v modrém balíčku. Odhalilo se, že jde o 5 kruhových karet.

Dee také podrobně popisuje, jak pomocí této metody vytvořit efekt stylu živých/mrtvých, a mluví o tom, jak to udělat také s hracími kartami.

INSANEwave is Dee Christopher's evolution of the BrainWave effect. The classic effect is that a named card is the only card in the deck with a different coloured or contrasting back design.

I wanted to take the effect further, I loved the image of spreading a deck and having multiple cards with different backs, I began work on forging a solution with several thoughts in mind.

• I wanted this deck to be normal, so that a spectator could handle it or I could do other ESP or card effects with it.
• I wanted the method to work with playing cards, ESP cards or any other type of photo or card.
• I didn't want to use rough and smooth, I wanted a set up that was easy and FAST.
• I wanted it to work EVERY time.

This is the effect and solution that I came up with. The basic effect is as follows:

A spectator is handed a deck of ESP cards and shown the 5 sets of 5 symbols. They are asked to shuffle and just name one symbol. Let's say they named a circle.

The performer then spreads the deck across the table or in his hands face down. 5 cards are seen to have red backs in the blue deck. These are revealed to be the 5 circle cards.

Dee Also details how to create a living/dead style effect using this method and talks about doing this with playing cards also.
