Verze jedna: Na zač začátku představení vytáhne kouzelník plechovku pečených fazolí a umístí ji ji tak, aby byla divákům plně viditelná. Vidí, že je zapečetěno, a kouzelní kouzelník pokračuje v představení. V určitém okamžiku nechá účet podepsat a a vložit do obálky, kde se po vedlejším hraní komedie spálí (nebo roztrhá, pokud je požár problémem jako na výletních lodích). Kouzelník pak ukáže prá prázdné ruce a otevře plechovku, aby našel podepsanou bankovku. Druhá ve verze: Kouzelník vytáhne plechovku pečených fazolí a podá ji členovi publik publika, kde ji podrží, dokud nebude potřeba. V určitém okamžiku představen představení je vypůjčena bankovka v hodnotě 100 USD, která je podepsána a z zapečetěna v obálce. Obálka je držena blízko plamene, aby ji všichni viděli, ale „náhodou“ hoří. Nikdo se nevzdává, kouzelník žádá o půjčení dal další bankovky. Tentokrát je to bankovka 10 dolarů a podepsaná. Je několikr několikrát přeložena a viditelně se změní na předchozí podepsanou 100dolaro 100dolarovou bankovku. Divák, který drží plechovku, je požádán, aby ji otev otevřel, a uvnitř je podepsaná 10dolarová bankovka. Umělec se NIKDY nepřibl nepřiblíží k plechovce, jakmile se jí divák od začátku drží! Další pěkná věc na některých komediích v rutině je je fakt, že jeden konkrétní kousek bude vyžadovat herectví, aby se uvolnilo. Není to herectví na Oscara, co je potřeba, ale liší se to od pouh pouhého vyslovení věty a čekání na smích. This book contains the two versions that Paul has performed on television, cruise ships, trade-shows and for private stand-up functions.

However, what magicians did not know was that Paul had worked out a routine that did not use stooges, and he had been performing it live for many years prior to the TV appearance.

This book also contains another version which is an alternative to the original Bill To Can routine, and different in method making it very practical for all working conditions. Tried and tested over many years in thousands of shows, on land and at sea! This routine is perfect for magicians who work in private homes, corporate functions or even on cruise ships. Version Two: The magician brings out a can of Baked Beans and hands it to an audience member where they hold on to it until needed. At some point in the show a $100 bill is borrowed, signed and sealed in an envelope. The envelope is held close to a flame for all to see, however it 'accidentally' burns. Not one to give up, the magician asks to borrow another bill. This time it's a $10 bill and signed. It is folded a few times and visibly changes in to the previous signed $100 bill. The spectator holding the can is asked to open it up, and inside is the signed $10 bill. The performer NEVER goes near the can once the spectator holds on to it from the start!
