1. Sechs Würfel werden zufällig in eine kleine Schachtel gelegt, bedeckt mit einem Deckel und getaucht.

• Wenn der Deckel entfernt wird, sind die Würfel in Reihenfolge von 1 bis 6 angeordnet. Ein weiterer Tritt tauscht ihre Reihenfolge um (6 zu 1).

• Der Magier macht eine Vorhersage auf einem Zettel. Der Zuschauer wirft die Würfel auf den Tisch und zählt die Punkte, die sichtbar sind, addiert sie. Die Würfel werden in die Schachtel zurückgelegt und getaucht. Die Punkte, die jetzt auf den Würfeln erscheinen, werden dem vorherigen Total hinzugefügt. Das Ergebnis entspricht der Vorhersage.

• Endlich wählt der Zuschauer einen der sechs Würfel aus. Die übrigen fünf werden in die Schachtel zurückgelegt und getaucht. Hey presto - Alle Würfel in der Schachtel zeigen denselben Wert wie der gewählte Würfel.

Originale englische Beschreibung

1. Six dice are placed into a small case at random and covered with a lid and shaken.

2. When the lid is removed, the dice are lined up in order from 1 to 6. With another shake, the order of the dice reverses (6 to 1).

3. The magician makes a prediction on a slip of paper. The spectator is asked to throw the dice on the table and count the number of spots showing, adding them together. The dice are replaced into the case and shaken. The number of spots which now appear on the dice are added to the previous total. The result matches the prediction.

4. Finally the spectator picks out one of the six dice. The remaining five are replaced into the case and shaken once again. Hey presto - All the dice in the case show the same number as the die the spectator selected.
