Effect: Der Magier legt eine rote Karte in einen blauen Kartendeck. Er bittet den Zuschauer, sich eine Karte auszudenken – und es überrascht alle, dass sie eine Karte eines anderen Farbtons erraten haben. Der Magier schlägt vor, die Übung noch einmal zu wiederholen, indem er einen weiteren blauen Kartenaufblühe in den roten Karten platziert. Diesmal denkt der Zuschauer sich eine Karte aus – und zum Entsetzen entpuppt sich die gewählte Karte als rot. Der Magier erklärt, dass dies der Trick des "Andersausfalls" ist und zeigt an, dass das gesamte Deck in blau umgewandelt wurde.

• The magician places a red card in a blue deck. He asks the spectator to think of a card, to everyone's surprise it turns out to be the one of a different color.
• The magician proposes to repeat the experience, saying that this trick is called "The Different One" and that the spectator will think of the different one. He takes another blue card and puts it among the red ones.
• The spectator thinks of a card, and the magician removes it from the deck. To everyone's disappointment, this time the card is red. The magician says that this is the trick of "The Different One" and shows that the entire deck has transformed to blue.
